Merry Cox – A Young Lady’s Workbox & My Heart Holds thy Love

September 17th Merry will be teaching two classes at OCSG.   The morning class will be devoted to Young Lady’s Workbox, a beautifully painted sewing box with compartments to hold your stitched treasures.  A stitched tray with very unique finishing, can be removed to hold threads, buttons, scissors, ruler, etc.  Also stitched a pincushion, pin keep, and needle case.  Kit includes hand painted workbox, all materials for stitching and finishing. merryworkbox

The afternoon class will be an exclusive class to OCSG My Heart Holds Thy Love, a Shaker mini carrier, 4 3/4″ x  3 1/4″ with a child’s hand as the pattern for the overlap.  Inside the carrier Merry has designed a heart made from velvet featuring hands and another heart reproduced from Merry’s collection which opens revealing love sentiments.  To complete the set a stitched banner held onto the handle with a vintage brass clip and sprig of antique German flowers. merrymyheartbox

Catherine Theron “Early Spring Lambs”Finish work

August 6th meeting will be devoted to finishing Early Spring Lambs with Carol Hayes and Joanne Seruto.  They will be leading this darling stitchery book and fob, a project for guilds by Catherine Theron.

Lynette Lundquist

May 14th meeting Lynette will be teaching her Vintage French Tray and Pin Book.

Using French inspired paper, ribbon and charms, the bottom of the tray is lined in French General linen fabric and embellished with French General ribbon.  The pin book has wool felt pages to house your favorite pins.  This class will be in Fullerton.

Stacy Nash Sewing Book & Pinkeep

Stacy will be with OCSG at our April 16th meeting which will take place in Upland, Ca.  Her piece a sewing book which opens to include mother of pearl thread rings and pocket for scissors and notions.  This kit will also be available to OCSG members by mail.

Stacy Nash Primitives

Saturday April 16th.  We are delighted that Stacy will be our teacher for OCSG’s birthday party.  We will be meeting at San Antonio Heights Church in Upland, Ca.  Her designs are a combination of whimsy and primitive and she will have something special for OCSG.

Catherine Theron’s Early Spring Lambs

Saturday March 12th.  Catherine Theron’s Winter 2016 project for guilds will be our March program.  Carol Hayes and Joanne Seruto will be leading the class and a follow-up finishing class will be the August meeting.  The stitchery book is worked on 32 ct golden linen and measures 2.5 inches x 3.25 inches.  A little lamb fob completes the piece.  This kit is available by mail to guild members, check must be received by deadline date Feb 5th.

Tea with Christina Lovejoy

Saturday February 6th.  In 2014 Christina delighted us with behind the scene tales of Downton Abbey and the Downton Abbey jewelry.  Now with the last season of DA we can say how timely it is to welcome her back to entertain .   Christina is representing Swarovski Company as they are celebrating their 120th year.  She will share their archives of fashion and apparel collaborations.  $30.00, deadline to order is January 22nd and includes gift bag if you meet deadline date.  (We welcome non-members to our tea).
