February meeting: Arlene Baker

February 17th we welcome Arlene Baker back to OCSG.  She will be teaching a No-Sew Felt Rose pin with Buds.   Arlene assures this pretty accessory is simple and quick to make.  Completely no sew construction, the flower petals are cut from wool.  Vintage molds will be used to make the leaf.  This piece is available by mail.  Contact Carol Hayes for more information chayes002@socal.rr.com  .  Meeting will be held at Sunny Hills Church of Christ, Fullerton, Ca. Arlenefeltpin

April meeting: Arlene Baker’s Rose Pin & Wool Pincushion

Arlene will be with us for our April 8th meeting teaching her Paper Bag Rose pin.  A brown paper grocery bag is cut, layered and shaped to make an elegant paper rose that resembles leather.  Arlene’s special technique will produce a vintage like rose.  The small wool pincushion uses a bottle cap, felt, velvet floral embellishments and antique glass beads.  Contact Carol Hayes Chayes002@socal.rr.com for more information.
